About this map

This map is for exploring who has returned mail ballots, not an exact count. Counts by county and party come from the Florida Division of Elections turnout feed, which counties update several times a day. Broward is missing from that feed so far this year; until it appears, Broward's numbers come from the Broward Supervisor of Elections mail ballot dashboard.

Shift view colors each county by how far its D−R margin among returned ballots has moved since the baseline you pick: every mail ballot returned in the 2024 or 2022 general election. Margin view colors each county by its 2026 D−R margin alone; the baseline still sets the comparison numbers in the tiles and table.

Totals include every county. Counties with fewer than 10 ballots in 2026 or in the baseline are gray on the map.

"I" is every voter not registered D or R, including minor parties. The I split assigns each county's I ballots to R and D in that county's R:D ratio for the same ballots, then sums the counties. It is a heuristic, not a measurement.

Election results are the Division of Elections' certified county returns: 2024 President and 2022 Governor, the race on the 2026 ballot. Registration is the Division's monthly county report and its 2024 and 2022 general book-closing totals.
